EXPERIENCE

I began my legal career as a law clerk to Judge O'Scannlain on the Ninth Circuit. I then worked on intellectual-property matters at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Irell & Manella LLP, and Latham & Watkins LLP. I am licensed to practice law in California and Texas.

I am a member of the Intellectual Property Owners Association, where I serve on the Copyright & Anti-Piracy Committee. I previously served on the Trade Secret Committee and was a member of the European Practice Committee when it was awarded the 2014 Outstanding Committee of the Year Award. 

I'm also fluent in Spanish and have a working understanding of French and Italian.

PERSONAL LIFE

I have a wife and three children. When I am not advising clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, skiing, and listening to WQXR Operavore.

I'm also involved in various groups, including the German American Business Association, British American Business Council of Orange County, the James Wilson Institute for Natural Rights and the American Founding, the Pepperdine Law Alumni Network of Orange County, and the Pepperdine University School of Law London Law Campaign and Advisory Committee.
