EXPERIENCE

I began my legal career as a law clerk to Judge O'Scannlain on the Ninth Circuit. I then worked on intellectual-property matters at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Irell & Manella LLP, and Latham & Watkins LLP. I am licensed to practice law in California and Texas.

I am a member of the Intellectual Property Owners Association, where I serve on the Copyright & Anti-Piracy Committee. I previously served on the Trade Secret Committee and was a member of the European Practice Committee when it was awarded the 2014 Outstanding Committee of the Year Award. 

I'm also fluent in Spanish and have a working understanding of French and Italian.

PERSONAL LIFE

I am married to Wendi and have three children. When I am not advising clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, skiing, and listening to WQXR Operavore.


I'm also involved in various groups, including founding the Black Catholic newspaper, The Black Catholic Messenger, and the Pepperdine Law Alumni Network of Orange County. I am a speaker and lecturer on culture and constitutional and natural law. I can be contacted for speaking engagements.
